I have been searching high and low for a really good white chocolate cream cheese frosting recipe for a half sheet carrot cake. I had thought I had found one here on cakecentral, but I was mistaken. Can anyone help?
Here's a very good one that I use, I think it is from The Cake Bible and is just the right level of sweetness.
9 oz. Good White Chocolate, melted and cooled slightly
12 oz. Cream Cheese, room temp
6 oz. Butter (salted), room temp.
1-1/2 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
Combine choc and cc in mixer until combined. Add butter and juice and whip. You can also add some vanilla if you wish. This makes approx. 4-3/4 cups.
Toptier ~ Thanx for sharing!! I've been searching also - I look forward to trying it!
If you need a crusting recipe, use this one. It is yummy!!!
1/2 C. Butter
1/2 C. Shortening
1 pkg (8oz.) cream cheese, softened
3 oz. baking white chocolate, melted
1 tsp clear vanilla extract
2 lb 10x sugar
1/4 C. Milk
both recipes sound really interesting, I am looking for a crusting white chocolate frosting, because of the addition of creamcheese would both of these recipes require refrigeration
