I am a newie and have been loving and using everyones advice.(Thanks for this site.) I did a purse cake this weekend. I tried to use fondant to do the cake, but didnt like it. So I used buttercream. My question is can you use buttercream to do a topsy turvy cake? Or do I have to fight with that fondant again.

I've done them in buttercream and fondant. I find they're more stable with fondant but it works fine either way.
