Doubling up at DH cakemix for a 11x15 pan. Is there a way to get around the lack of 2 eggs? Or should I wait until I can get to the grocery store to buy more eggs? Cake due tomorrow so I'm not in a hugh rush, just feeling lazy
Well, you have two thirds of the eggs, so I supposed you could use 2/3 of the cake mix and other ingredients. The question is - will it fill your pan?
Or, in a pinch before, I've used egg beaters when I've been out of eggs. Got any Egg Beaters?
3 T mayo for one egg. Mayo is just eggs & oil.
I've used it before & couldn't tell the difference in the final result - but the most I've substituted for is one egg (not just one egg on purpose, it's just worked out that way).
Yup, I do what idjitmom suggests (love that name, I'm one too!)...sub mayo for eggs.
