My daughter and I would like to decorate cake dummies rather than actual cakes so that we may try different techniques. Is is possible to reuse any of the fondant we may use to decorate it?

Thanks......Laura

Hmmmm...I doubt it. Maybe you could reuse some of the molded decorations, but the fondant used to cover the dummy would probably be beyond saving. But if you made, say, roses, you could just take those off to use on something else.

The fondant will dry out, so unless your covering a cake then riping it right off (which might not be a bad idea to practice) it probably won't be salvageable

As the ladies above said *no*.
After a day or two it will become to dry - but if you mean just trying different things within the same day - then sure - you can. thumbs_up.gif

Thanks so much for answering my question!!!! That's pretty much what I thought, but wanted to get other opinions on the subject before I even attempted it!!!
