I'm making a basket ball cake and am a little nervous about covering the round cake in fondant. Any of you out there who have done it, do you have any helpful tips? They would be greatly appreciated. icon_biggrin.gif

I've never done it but, for a basketball, if you had to, you could make the separate pieces, like what's divided by the black lines on the ball maybe.

These threads really helped me:

and

I also roll the fondant thicker than I normally would... it seems to want to thin out on me... icon_rolleyes.gif
