So I made this recipe for the first time this weekend:

http://www.cakecentral.com/cake_recipe-7393-Lemonliscious-Lemon-Cake.html

I am not trying to say anything bad, but it was really really greasy! ouch.gif I was looking for a nice tart tasting cake, but ended up with a greasy mess!

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this recipe or maybe something different I can try? I was thinking about reducing the oil and maybe adding a little more flour....

I am a high altitude baker so that might have affected the end resutls....

Thanks for your input!

I recently tried this recipe and had no problem with it but I'm at sea level so the high altitude may have affected it. I'm curious now, too. Hopefully, others can post more information.

I would have subsituted the water for milk and used 1/2 stick of butter and 1/4 cup canola oil. I think a whole cup of oil is a little much. Hope this helps.
