I just looked at this cake in the gallery.

How do you make a chocolate character pop? I can think of so many uses for this!

They look like chocolate transfers to me.
Those are made just like a FBCT only with chocolate. She probably then attached a lollypop stick to the back with more melted chocolate so that it could stand up in the cake.

What I would do is get a coloring page from the internet... lay wax paper over it.. pipe the outline with melted chocolate, let it sit, then pipe the colors in (front colors first).
