I looked for a veiner/cutter combo but couldn't find any that I really liked (of course except for the really expensive ones). So I bought the PME butterfly cutters, but no veiner. I have a hydrangea leaf veiner, but that's about the only one. Is there a good veiner to use that isn't too expensive (perhaps multi use)? Or, is there another technique I can use?

you could use a dresden tool or veiner tool to make the markings.
