My all time favorite zipper was made by TooMuchCake...check out her photo and posts on this thread: http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-610780-zipper.html

Thanks for sharing FlourPots-that info was great! Has anyone ever tried to make their own molds? Is it hard to do?

Hi. My zipper's nowhere near some of the others made from a mold, but I thought I'd show you mine. On my Pooh diaper bag, I placed a fondant strip, went down the middle length gently w/ a pizza cutter. Then on one side i made zipper "teeth" using a piece of spaghetti to just make indentions. On the "other" side of the line, I made more indentions but made sure to do it so they aren't lining up w/ the first side's indentions (trying to create the zipper locked look if you will). Then I just painted it w/ silver luster dust and vodka. Hope that makes sense. Sorry my description is not more concise icon_redface.gif but I hope I helped a little icon_smile.gif

I had no idea that there was a zipper mold! That's pretty interesting!

Lynda-bob - your zipper on your pooh cake looked great! Thanks for telling us how you did it!

You're welcome, mamabrat.

I agree...lynda-bob your zipper is awesome, using spaghetti for the indentations is brilliant!!
