I cut my wax paper in strips the same size as the ribbon and attach the wax paper to the ribbon with double stick tape. Then I cut the end of the ribbon at an angle and put a piec of double stick tape on the end to hold ribbon together when you attach it to the cake.

Thanks for your technique.
I read somewhere that you can iron the waxed paper on the ribbon but can't find the article. I didn't want to try it without checking here first to see if anyone knew of it. Does anyone????
