Hello! I am making a buttercream cake with some fondant decorations, a fondant ribbon on each tier and some flowers. The cake has a cookies and cream filling so I need to keep it cold. I have read a lot about not putting a fondant covered cake in the fridge, but what about a cake that just have fondant decorations like the ribbons? Can I keep that in the fridge over-night?

Thank You!

I personally have never had a problem putting a fondant covered cake in the refrigerator. I'm not sure where you live, I'm in Ontario so right now we have fairly mild temperatures still which I use to my advantage. I sometimes store cakes overnight in the garage as its cool but not as cold as the fridge.

Thank You Nolee!! - Anyone else? I have read so much on here about not putting fondant in the fridge, but I'd really rather just do the cake all in one shot rather than waiting until right before to put on the ribbons and borders.
