I have a friend that bought the Lego cake mold(makes six large cupcake cakes). Her sister-in-law tried making the cakes and the cakes stuck. The mold wouldn't release the lego dots on top of cake- they stayed stuck to the mold.

What are your recommendations for silicone molds and best recommendations and suggestions for using. I probably wouldn't use a mould but she really wants to do it her self and feels this mould is her best shot.

Bake time and temp?
Cake type?- pound cake or firm cake-right?
Crisco or oil the silicon? They used Pam before
Cool time?
What about baking with a cookie sheet underneath? Does this affect baking time- etc.

Any lessons learned out there?

I have never really liked the two mats I was given so don't use them or have much experience with them- but anything to help a friend righticon_smile.gif

Thanks so much!
