I'm making a "package" cake for a bridal shower. The bride is a Dallas Cowboys football fan so they wanted something in that theme. I'm making blue and white fondant stars like the logo on their football helmet. I tried using silver pearl dust mixed with clear vanilla. Painting that on the fondant works well but on the butter cream it looks brown and streaked. I would greatly appreciate any help as they are picking it up at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, 4/16. Thanks.

28 views and no ideas? I'm considering trying to sprinkle on some dry blue or blue mixed with silver pearl luster. Opinions appreciated.

I am not an expert, but are you using clear vanilla? If not, that may why you are getting brown streaks. I am sure there is another way, but I have never worked with anything that needs a metallic look yet. I have a Saints jersey due in July, so I will need to know then.
