I need a 16" round silver cake drum. But I need it in a little less than two weeks. Who can ship that without a $20 shipping fee?

Please help, I'm freaking out. The lady just changed her mind today!

why not make your own? If you get yourself a 1/2" foam core board and cut it with a brand new utility knife or hot knife...then you can either cover your board with silver food safe wilton paper OR some silver wrapping paper and then cover with contact paper. You would not want to put your cake straight on that would put another board under your cake so it doesn't touch the contact paper. (i've never had an issue but people say contact paper is not food safe)

I also love this website...I'm going to try and put the link, but you will have to copy and paste it without the space in it for it to show up (space after country)

You should be able to get one in less than 2 weeks. That is a pretty good ways away. I have a cake shop right around the corner from me...Heck if nothing else I can see if she has one and I will ship it to you.

I agree w/ a previous post, probably has what you need and they are reasonable on shipping. Also is usually pretty good on prices. Both are fast too!

Do you have a Michael's near you. They carry the 16" cake boards (drums) in a 2 pack. With a 50% coupon you can save quite a bit. Sometimes AC Moore will have them, and Hobby Lobby as well. But Michael's will also take AC Moore coupons. HTH icon_smile.gif

I was at our Walmart earlier and they had both the gold and silver 2 pack 16 inch cake drums there. I don't know if you have a Walmart near you. I was kind of surprised because they hadn't carried them before.

The Walmart near me sells Wilton cake drums. You might want to check there!

Our Walmart has limited Wilton supplies, so no luck there. I'll go over to Michaels tomorrow but I don't think they carry anything over 14". I looked at the Country kitchen but it didn't say how long it would take to get here so I was hesitant about ordering. So they ship quickly?

Patticakesnc - you are so sweet.

There's a cake supply store two hours away but I'm having car trouble right now. If it comes down to that I'll just rent a car and drive there to get it.

Thanks for all the help!

OH! Country Kitchen ships VERY fast. I think any time I order from them it comes in a couple days. I think you can even choose priority shipping and it's not that expensive.

good luck!

Called Michaels today and they carry the 16" round cake circles at least. So I'll glue them all together and cover it. Thanks for all the help!
