I've had no luck with WASC. Would always sink in middle or be "gummy". I use the double recipe with oil. I sub'd 6 whole eggs for 8 egg whites. Also added 1 tsp of baking powder to each box mix. I read about making your own bake strips with wet paper towels and foil. OMG, the cake rose up so nice, didn't fall and cooked even. It even worked with a choc WASC, which I have had disasters before. (bubbled over, cooked uneven) Thanks again to the CCer that had the wet paper towel and foil idea! I'm so excited to have finally conquered the WASC dragon.
