I'm making sugar flowers (roses) for a cake - I have to make about 40 of them (didn't realize this 'til today & it's due Friday at noon)!

I don't have any gumpaste, and I'm using already colored Satin Ice fondant. I have a can of unopened Gum Tex - can I add that into the fondant to get it to have a consistency like gumpaste? How much would I need to add? I have about 2 lbs, 6 oz of fondant.

Thanks so much!

I had read somewhere 1 tsp to 5 oz of fondant. I measured and weighed the first couple times but now i just wing it.

I am not sure it will make your fondant gum paste consistency, but it will make it dry faster.
