I do not know if this commercial shows all over the US, but there is an AT&T High Speed Internet commercial that starts with a woman looking at her laptop computer and then she closes it and the computer becomes a cake that she cuts into. If you have seen this commercial, do you happen to know what type of icing is on that cake? I know it is some type of poured chocolate, but where would I find the recipe? It looks like the type of icing that they put on a Boston Creme. detective.gif

Haven't seen that particular ad, but for Boston Cream pie I like a frosting rather than ganache. Here's what I use:

FOR THE CHOCOLATE ICING:
4 oz. semisweet chocolate
1 tbsp. butter
6 tbsp. whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar (sifted)

melt choc/butter in dble boiler; stir in cream & vanilla; gradually stir in sugar.
