I have been doing cakes for almost a year now I am only a hobbyist caker so only do cakes for friends and family. I am my own biggest critic sometimes i get discouraged and wish that i could make cakes like some of the people on this site but with lots of convincing my husband and mother in law talked me into looking for a place to open a cake biz so i am crossing my fingers and hopping all goes well. so if anyone has any good advice please feel free to share.

Get thru your licensing and HD inspection, and buy insurance, and set up your corporation. Also, don't forget your Business Plan. That really needs to be finished first.
