I put mini marshmellows in the microwave and add powder sugar, typical mmf. One recipe I used called for 7 cups of powder, and after resting, the mmf is crumbly, no elasticity.
Decrease the powder sugar amount? is that the solution?
Yes start with half the required amount and add more until you get to the right consistency. 7 cups is just a guide.
Try microwaving your batch for 10 seconds and adding crisco.
