so im sitting here i have 3 cakes due 1 tommarow and 2 sunday lets just say only 1 is even baked im having difficulty since last weekend i thought it would be fun to get my 8th tattoo going right on my shoulder so now that i have a whole bunch to do my arm is sore and sh*t makes me wonder what was i thinking i guess tattoos are an addiction
anybody else got some tattoos? i was honestly thinking of a little cupcake sometime soon haha oh yes im addicted
Yes, I only have 2. I got my 1st one at 17 and second at 19, now at 25 i'm thinking what the hell? I got a really big one for my 1st daughter, well now I have another little girl and not sure if I want to cover it all up and do a new design or just add to that one. I've also wanted to get something on my feet, I think that's just so freaking sexy, but i'm not sure what I want on there. So i've just been thinking about it really hard, cause I don't want to regret it in a few years like I did my 1st one.
I have 4.
jer702, I have the top of my right foot done and I love it! But I gotta tell you, the pain on that one was almost more than I could bear! It was my 4th and I swore at the time it would be my last, but a year and a half later, I'm thinking of going for another! I know I breathed in and out so hard while it was getting done, that my lips were chapped the next day, and my arms hurt from gripping the chair so tightly! None of my others hurt, but that one kicked my butt.
Each of my pieces have chili peppers in them somewhere (it was a theme cause I'm sure a huge fan of the group). I have a small bunch on my ankle that is old and hard to make out now. I'm thinking of a cover-up, a cupcake with a chili pepper on top instead of a cherry!
I want a dragon fly, either on my foot or wrist, not sure which yet.
I say foot because it's easy to cover up if you ever get a job with a "no visible tattoo" policy.
I have 2, but there are 3 more that I want. I have flowers on my lower back, but then I had back surgery, so I have a big ugly scar sticking out of the flowers, lol. I need to add to that one to cover it up. I also have a SpongeBob holding my kids' initials on my stomach.
They are definitely addictive!! I keep thinking of more that I want. I didn't get my first one until I was almost 30, but now I can't stop.
I love your cupcake ideas...I've been wanting a Packers logo, maybe I'll do a cupcake with the logo on top.
I have three right now...one I doodled in class when I was 18 - a sun/star thing, and got tattooed 3 days later lol. It's in the center of my lower back. Second one was a celtic motherhood knot w/a dot for my daughter's birthstone...center of my shoulder blades/upper back. Third is the scorpio symbol on my right inner hip area. My next one will be an ankh...just not sure where yet!
My daughter has quite a few, but she has a tiny heart behind her ear, that's my favorite
You should check out this blog allthingscupcake.com ...there's a bunch of photos that people sent in with their cupcake tatoos. I reallly wanna get a cupcake tattoo, just not sure where yet. I only have 2 tattoos but am dying to get plenty more, I love em'..so addicting!
I have 4 .. wanting another. First one at 20 yr. old. My first was a rose, with banner & my oldest daughters name in it. Second is a wreath of ivy, butterfly sitting on top, with second daughters name in the ivy circle. Those are on my ankles. 3rd is a frog with Feelin' Froggy around it on left back shoulder, and 4th is lower back tribal done in black fade to red with my name.
The next one I want to incorporate my 2 dogs in it .. their names are Star & Twilight so I am thinking something celestial. Not sure exactly what or where .. but soon.
Slicethecake ... LOVE the Celtic motherhood knot!!
I have 5...and I am wanting about 5 more...my hubby promised me one for my birthday in a few weeks. Now that u all have mentioned cupcake tattoos I really want one!
i currently have 9, and have just made an appointment to get each of my sons foot prints from their birth certificates tattooed on me next,
my mother calls me walking wall paper,
i'll never forget when i got my first tatoo, i hid it for about a month, a lil sun and moon on my ankle, my mother never seen it til prom night my senior yr, she chased me down the drive way, i told my date to just keep driving,
her reaction to the fact that i got my whole leg covered from the knee down several yrs later was much more peaceful, thats when she started calling me walking wallpaper, it was her way of coping with my addiction to ink,
i told her well atleast it's not crack or something, that seemed to calm her down!!!
Have any of you had a tattoo done to cover a scar? I had surgery on my leg and I have a 6" scar that I'd like to hide somehow...I was thinking of a flower of some sort. My husband doesn't think it would work to have a tattoo done right on the scar, partly because we can feel the metal plates under the skin. I know right now it's way too sensitive but I'm thinking in about a year I'll try it.
I don't know if this thread is dead >< sorry for reviving it!
I had a tattoo on the left side of my neck of a flame in a wheel, I'm getting an half sleeve down of a mermaid swimming upwards ( you don't see her face) and I want to get two dragon eyes tattooed on my shoulder blades =3
I also got piercings too
I have 3.
right ankle (small) = 3 hearts innertwined with a vine
right shoulder blade (big) = green dragon innertwined in a black tribal
left shoulder blade (big) = 2 hibiscus flowers with a beautiful black butterfly
I don't have tattoos, nor do I want any, but I am intrigued by them.
May I ask you who have them a question ... and this is genuine interest, not putting anyone down... When you get a tattoo, do you think much about how you'll feel about it when you're old and saggy? I'm interested particularly in things that people get tattooed that are really 'current' (I saw Spongebob squarepants mentioned back there somewhere, for example). In 20 years time, will you look at that tattoo and be nostalgic for when your kids watched SpongeBob, or do you ever worry that you'll hate it?
(When I was about 17 I had a bunch of moles removed under local anesthetic by a plastic surgeon, and there was a whiteboard with a list of all the procedures they were doing that day. The majority were tattoo removals, and I suppose I've always had the impression that people regret having them. I'd like to know I was wrong and hear from those who had them decades ago and still love them. )
me personally i never get anything too mainstream .i get things for me pebblez doll because thats my nicnake. hibiscus flowers because they are my favorite. the saying smile better days await was a terrible period in my life and i needed something to remind myself and so on i guess if people get tattoos for the right reason, thought, meaning, a significance then you can never regret them? am i right? any one elses opinion?

TubbsCookies- not only when we're old and saggy!! lol I got my first tattoo when I turned 21 and it was legal and I got it on my hipbone thinking "I wont have a baby for like, 7 years!". Well, three months later I was pregnant! and LET ME TELL YOU my beautiful star tattoo is now a stretched out, stretch mark filled blob of a tattoo! and the worst part is my best friend has the same one so I think, "ah mine doesn't look that bad" then she puts hers next to mine and I see that mine looks like a battle scar! lol Lets put it this way- the nurse in the hospital said "oh, you have a butterfly tattoo do ya!" "errmm, no ma'am, it's a star" hehe! I don't regret getting a tattoo, I just regret where I PUT the tattoo! ;] My beautiful baby was worth it though! :] I am going to get another one (call me crazy) I am just going to put it on my wrist or foot, something that wont stretch with another baby or weight gain! :] (of my little boy's initials :])

Not sure if you have one, but yeah!!!!!!!!! IT HURTS LIKE H E DOUBLE HOCKEY STICK!!!!!!! Here are my two. The one on my R ankle is the exact size of my youngest who was born 6 weeks premature. The one on my L FOOT is a Rosary for my sister. She was killed when I was 13, ok, I can't figure out how to change the pixels. As soon as I can figure it out, I will post the pics
I alternate between wanting one, and not. My husband is totally against tattoos, and says "What will you say to YOUR daughter about it?" But I really want a celtic knot of some type (Really like the mother's knot shown above!) on my ankle. We'll see. Maybe when I turn 40....
I have a celtic cross with my daughter's initials around the bottom of it. I also have a wedding ring set and my husbands and my anniversary date in the diamond. I want another one, this time maybe something with an angel. Did not hurt though.
I have always wanted a tattoo, first my dad didn't allow it, then I married and had six kids and thought about having one done but my husband didn't approve. Any way I just turned 50 and decided to listen to what Bon Jovi says, "It's my life, I ain't gonna live forever!" First tattoo: a moon with 10 stars and a ribbon all thru it. My daughters have the same one. Next week come the other two: heart with flames and wings (Sugarland logo-huge fan) and white ink wings on my wrist. And no, I don't care about old and saggy because we don't get old just older! (Also a Bon Jovi fan, as you can tell!)
PS: My husband loves my tattoo! Go figure!

I know others have responded, but as the guilty party of the SpongeBob tattoo, I'll respond as well...I did consider long and hard how I'd feel about having a cartoon on my belly when I'm about 80 (God willing). But since it was my kids' favorite cartoon for years, it's much more than just a SpongeBob, it is a memory of times passing far too quickly. That sounds ridiculously sappy, but it's true all the same.
I have a rose around my belly button. Fortunatly it survived pregnancy. If I lived in a non judgemental world I'd get a full back. I did just get my nose pierced.
