Probably a silly question but when you use this do you split in half and fill with filling or do you just serve with little icing and lotsa cake? Thanks

I sometimes cut it horizontally and fill but mostly not.

Thanks for the quick response. One mre question, how many cups of batter do you normally use? Thanks for your time.

I use about 6 cups of batter, maybe a little more. If you use an undoctored mix you will need to make more.

You are better off overfilling something like this and baking on a cookie sheet to catch spills than underfilling.

Hmmm.I don't know about cups but I nearly use 2 box mixes..so probably about 6-7 cups. One mix isn't enough and 2 is a little too much.
