I've been asked to do a graduation cake that has roses on it. I've never made good buttercream roses, so how else can I make them? I've searched for how to make starburst/tootsie roll roses and can see pictures but not how to make them. Also, any tips for making buttercream roses for the future would be great.
Thanks!

You could do fondant roses. They are alot of work but well worth it. I prefer the look over the buttercream which just take practice. Or ribbon roses which are really easy and super cute.
