i am making a box made of gumpaste. how can i attach a hinge to it to open the top? i tried royal icing and it sticks to the bottom part but the part that holds the box lid is not holding. this will not be eaten can i use crazy glue ?? or hot glue

I have used super glue on gumpaste flowers that were on a display cake... so I know it works (very well). However, I'd make sure there was no way anyone would try to ingest it.

super glue did not work. trying hot glue now
