I have a cake due the tuesday after Easter and don't have a clue what to do. All the customer asked for is a yellow cake, any shape. The colors don't matter but the b-day girl it's for likes brown and teal. Also gerber daisies and cherry clusters. Is there and way to combine all that and get a decent looking cake? Also, what flavor enhancer might one use for a yellow cake? I'm sooooo confused icon_confused.gif

A brown and teal bow would be nice, and a few colorful gerbers interspersed with cherries. Cherries are really easy. Glob of red fondant with a green wire. You can even connect two together.

Or, put a circle of red fondant on the side of the cake, and pipe a green stem, then pipe some gerbers nearby. Gerbers are just colorful daisies in icing.

What about a purse cake.. I don't know the age of the birthday girl. but a purse may be cute.. yellow with lemon filling or maybe a baverian cream.raspberry too. anyway the flowers and the fruit could be on the side of the purse.hope this helps.

Check out this link from our gallery. Hope it will give you some inspiration and I'm sure you can work in the daisies and cherries. Good Luck!!

How old is the bday girl?young?old?

I have this cake on file..i absolutely love it. Perhaps you can make a smaller version of it and add some cherries in with ribbon or something.

yellow cake is great with most any flavor - go with cherry since she likes those. an ivory cake, w/ teal gerbers w/ brown centers and brown gerbers w/ teal centers would be a fun combo.

good luck! icon_smile.gif

Why can't the cherry clusters be in teal instead of red? Do a brown cake with teal cherries on the sides and teal gerberas on top.

I think do everything you're talking about here but nix the cherries. Personal preference probably but I don't think it fits with the rest. The teal and brown and gerbera daisies sounds like something you could work with and get a cute cake but the cherries aren't mixing well with the rest for me.

These are mini cakes but you could do something similar but on a larger scale:

This one has always been one of my favs because of the shape:

Replace sunflowers with daisies?:

Don't know how the balls on these ones would like like as red cherries, maybe you could leave them the same colour?

I can't seem to wrap my head around the cherries and the daisies together though. Personally, I would just pick 3 of the 4 things she likes and be done with it.
