Can I add lemon extract to Michele Fosters fondant? Would it curdle the milk? or do you suggest using another liquid? If I add the lemon extract, would it be in addition to the vanilla?
I'm making a vanilla cake with lemon curd buttercream filling and I wanted the fondant to be lemony also.

Thank you for your help.

I used lemon extract once instead of vanilla. I really didn't like it because it competed with the soft flavor of the cake. But yes, it can be done. icon_smile.gif

I used some lemon extract in my initial mixture and it did curdle the milk. I do like a little lemon to cut some of the sweetness. I looovvee Michele's recipe though. When I made it yesterday I added a bit of lemon during the mixing in the KA closer to the end and had no problem with curdling at all!!
YUMMY.
