which rolled buttercream recipe do you use? Does it take color well? Is it really greasy shiny?
I don't remember which recipe I used but I think all of them are shiney (greasy) due to the amount of shortening in them. I don't know why it wouldn't take color well.
There are a ton of posts on rolled buttercream. That may be why no one has answered. I've never used RBC yet, but I've researched it some. Here are four I have bookmarked.
