I have a dumb question but when a bride and groom cut their wedding cake for pictures, how do they work around ribbon if it is at the base of the tiers? Do they unwrap the entire piece?
Normally they would cut it at the back and just peel off enough to allow them to cut. THey probably wouldn't take the whole thing off. Either that or they could just cut to the top of the ribbon and stop.
Yes, they just peel a bit of it back before the cake is cut.
