I am not exactly sure if this can be classified a fluffy bouncy cake but the Dream Whip cake recipe produces a very soft, airy, high rising cake. The batter is whipped on a high speed and produces a very high volume cake, at a great price! If that is what you mean, let me know and I will post the recipe!

Adding one egg to your recipe makes the cake more dense, like you're describing. I prefer my cakes this way also.

The Dream Whip recipe is:

Any boxed cake mix (18.25 oz)
1 packet of Dream whip
4 eggs
1 c. cold water

Mix all ingredients at a high speed for 4 minutes and bake as you would any regular box cake. It puffs up very high, so don't fill you pans any more than halfway! I sometimes add a dash of different extracts.
