I know that you can trace a picture with piping gel and then transfer it (I'm doing a picture of scooby) well how do you color the inside of it, I only know how to use a star tip, but I want a colored look, and also do you you trace the outline after you color it in or before.

From what I understand you only use the outline to trace and then put in on the cake. Then you fill it in once the outline has transferred.I use tips 2 and 3 to fill it in instead of stars.

Hi, from what I have learned you transfer with the gel and then trace over to outline the area. I find that tip 2 or 3 work great for outlining. To fill I also like tips 2 or 3 if not using the star tip. How about the basket tip, the smooth side for larger areas? Sounds like you are looking for a smooth surface? Maybe use thin consistancy as this would be easier to smooth. HTH
