I went ahead and posted the template I used to make the bird cookies I posted today. If you enlarge the drawing until the bar at the bottom of the sketch is 1", that's how big I made the cookie. The recipe I use is half what the NFSC recipe makes, and I was able to get 29 birds out of one batch. I think it would be the equivalent to a 3" round cookie. I traced the design onto some plastic and used that as my template to cut out the cookies. The lines are fairly smooth, so it wasn't a difficult cookie to cut out by hand. Hope you can get some use out of it!
