Hi

I've got a wedding cake coming up where the bride wants initials on the top of the cake. I was thinking of doing stand up initials and piping them out of chocolate, will this work? I've kind of got it in my head I can pipe them on non stick paper and when they dry attach them to the cake, but will chocolate hold up? Or should i use gum paste and cut them out? Any advice will be most appreciated.

Thanks
Claire

I think that I would use gumpaste. I am not sure about the chocolate because if the room is warm then your chances of it melting would be higher. Sorry I can't add any more imput

Hi Cake and Party girl

Thanks for the quick response, I think I'm leaning more towards the gumpaste now too, it would be a nightmare if it melted during the reception!

Isn't Cake Central just amazing, I type in a question and I get an answer right back from somebody thousands of miles away in Japan, that is just mad but very cool.

Thanks xxx
