I have been lurking for quite some time as I have not had time to do much with my cake decorating abilities. Now I have a granddaughter and am back at making cakes. Ok, question. I have made some backyardigan figures from the MMF, I would like to know if there is anything that I can brush on them to make them shiny and help them to stay together better. Right now I am kind of afraid to move them as they will fall apart. It is my first attempt at fondant figures, so I am at a loss as to if I even had fondant stiff enough to begin with. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

to make the figures shiny you can use luster dust and I use lollipop sticks to make my heads stay on the bodies and sometimes i use toothpicks for the arms if they are really heavy if not i just use a little bit of water and things usually stick pretty well. hope this helps
