Anyone have a good white cake recipe that is "light and moist". My husband hates WASC, says it's like eating a sponge!! Other than just making a white cake mix out of the box, does anyone have a great recipe?? Looked in the recipes here, but hard to know how they will turn out by just reading the recipe.
Thanks!
CC does have a review system for the recipes sections. However, at this time, there's no way to add comments to the reviews. But I've had great success with recipes that had 4-5 stars.

I have made the "White Cake" from the link posted above. This is the one where you start with the dry ingredients and add the buttermilk and butter.
I'm not sure if I just had a bad expierence with it, or really what happened, but it was a disaster for me! The batter was SO thick, the moter in my mixer burned out! I actually posted a thread about it under Cake Disasters! http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-612602.html
Sorry I don't have a recipe to share with you, but I wanted to give you my expierence with this recipe.
This is great. My husband also hates WASC, though I can't understand why. Every one I've ever made it for has raved about it. It's the only white cake I do now!
I'll be trying some of the recipes listed... it would be so fantastic if we could add comments to the recipes in addition to the *stars*
