I need to know if you can frost a 6" cake with Duncan Hines can icing then put fondant over that? Will the can frosting melt my MMF or will it be OK.

It would just taste a lot better if you made it homemade
I know but I used up most of my high ratio shorting on a batch for the other 2 tiers and don't have enough to make more buttercream. So I always keep a can for cakeballs if needed.
