How do i make a fondant covered cake look like hay? Any ideas? I'm trying to make a bale of hay, but would like it covered in fondant instead of buttercream. I'm not sure how to do this!

Well, fondant is used to create a very smooth surface. Hay is prickly.
I'd try white chocolate quills.

Is this an April Fools Day joke?
