How do I make gelatine sheets? There is no product here that I can purchase. Does anyone have any experience making their own? Any and all help appreciated. Thank you in advance.

You don't... if you can't get sheet gelatin (also called leaf gelatin) then you substitute powdered. About one tablespoon of powdered gelatin is equal to four gelatin leaves/sheets.

I want to make the sheet. I have the powdered gelatine and use it all the time. I want to make the sheets so I can make window panes and wings.

Well in that case, unfortunately, I believe you are out of luck. You cannot make your own gelatin sheets, to my knowledge. Have you tried using sugar? You can make windows out of poured sugar or isomalt. Pulled sugar makes lovely wings.

I was afraid of that. Isomalt is not available here, either. (Backwater isn't a stong enough word to describe La Paz.) I will look into poured sugar. Thank you for your patience and your help.
