My Grandma will turn 88 next Wednesday and I wanted to make a cake for her. Maybe just BC with gumpaste accents.

What colors would be good for a cake for a grandma? I was just thinking maybe a few blossoms as decorations. I'm just stuck on a color combination though.

Any ideas? TIA!

Whats grandma like? My grandma is turning 88 in May. I am looking forward to doing her cake. She loves birds. I can't wait to make her cake a bird house with little birds perching.

So think what makes grandma tick. I made a cake for a friends grandmother that loved butterflies.

There are so many things to do for them because you love them sooo much.

not much help but good luck.

if she has a favourite tile (am i thinking of the right game?) you could do that for the top of the cake, and some oriental style stuff (flowers, piping... it does originate there doesnt it?) round the sides?
