I have all white buttercream icing and would like to put a road on it. It has to travel several hours and wont be served for a couple of days. Can I put a black fondant road on the cake or will the color run? TIA

If you are coloring it yourself add some cornstarch to it, it you are using black fondant precolored, no worries

I'm using satin ice choc fondant and I'm going to color it black. What do you mean by add cornstarch? Do I add it to the fondant or sprinkle it on the buttercream?

I just used the SatinIce precolored black over a buttercream crumbcoat and white cake with no bleeding at all. The cake was decorated with white pearls and I did have a little bleeding when I tried the clear tylose-water gum glue. Royal Icing was perfect.

Hope this helps!
