Hi,
From this formum I learned to buy my boxexs from Sam's and have saved some money. However, they only have the sheet cake & 10'" round ones. I was wondering where is a good place to order the heavy 2 peice boxes for large 2 tier cakes from. I just paid $5 for a 14 X14 at my local supply store.
Also, is there a good place for fillings?
is the 14x14 for a two tiered cake? If so that's a steal... Most places online average around $10 for the two tier cake boxes...
Hi, yes the box is for a tiered cake. $10 a box OMG. Well I guess I will buy them locally. I thought $5 was too much but looks like a steal now.

a much smaller 10 inch box is more than that from GSA
http://www.globalsugarart.com/product.php?id=21191
our walmart has changed the office supply are to include packing and mailing boxes. I can get sizes form 8" sq, 10", 12", 14" 16" and 18" for $4.84 and under.
Not a bad deal.
What do you mean by 'a two tiered box'? I saw them on GSA and they were like $14 and they looked like a more fancy cardboard box.....what am I missing!?!
Can I just use a clean packing box?
Also, to OP, do you remember how much those 1/2 sheet cake boxes and for how many from Sam's? We are going to be driving near a town with a Sam's club and I found a free day pass online so we were thinking about checking it out. Thanks.
Hello...If it's any help, you could try CK Products, Candyland Crafts, Kitchen Craft, PaperMart online. It would be wholesale vs retail for you like when you buy from Sam's or any local supplier. This will help if you are making cakes on a regular basis.
I am not sure what to tell you about fillings. Brownie....
Wow, I am getting a good price. The book that I am talking about is very similar to the wedding cake box you attached foxymomma521, but a little shorter I believe. If I can get my camera working I will try to post a photo of the box.
Sorry no they do not sell online or even have a website. It is just a local place but they have a fair selection and the owner is very cool.
korkyo, walmart sells boxes in different sizes? Really, all of them? I
was told they only had the half & full sheet boxes and 10" cake
domes.
Brownie1954, Thanks, I checked all of the sites you listed they don't
have the box I am talking about.
CakeDiva73, Yes you have to go to Sam's can't beat there prices. I
paid roughly $10 for 25 1/2 sheet boards. (I think 25pcs I
will check in the morning) The boxes for 1/2 sheet
comes in two pieces (window tops) I believe it came to
$37 for 50 boxes. But this was about 18 months ago the
price maybe a little higher. I know the buttercream went
from $27 to $31.
"can I just use a clean packing box?" What do you mean
by this?
Thanks for giving me all those prices. I appreciate it.
As for my question, I think I was confused as to what we are talking about. I was thinking we were talking about boxes to transport the tiered cake layers in and then set-up onsite. It sounds like these are cake boxes for...well cripes. I really don't know what they are, lol.
CakeDiva73 - update the prices and quanties are better than I wrote last night.
Boards: it's plain white boards I usually cover in foil.
50pcs 1/2 sheet cake boards for $9.33
250pcs 12" cake boards for $40.22
Boxes: 50 boxes for 33.84
Tops are 50pcs for $17.48
Bottoms are 50pcs for $16.36
Buttercream:
28lbs White for $31
10lbs Colors for $10
Sorry about the mistake. Also, as I said these were prices from 18 months ago. The only ones I know for sure are the buttercream prices brought some last weekend.
