I am using fondant and gumpaste for the first time. I made my gumpaste flowers earlier this week so they could dry. I covered my cake in fondant tonight and am ready to stick them on the cake, but how do I do it? The flowers are dry and they won't stick to the fondant. Will water make them stick or should I use some royal icing to make them stick on the side of the cake?

Royal tinted to the color of the background fondant would be best. Water can disintegrate thin gum paste pretty quickly.
