Hey CCer's, it's been a while since I've been on here. Anyway, I need your help! I've been given the task of making cakes and cupcakes to sell for a fundraiser at my church for this Saturday (March 2 evening. I don't have enough supplies to make my cakes from scratch so I have to use the boxed stuff. Does anyone have any good cake doctoring recipes that do NOT include instant pudding mixes of (any kind) and/or sour cream. Please respond ASAP I really need the help. The reason this is so last minute is because I was the person buying the ingredients bought cake mixes instead of flour... sugar etc.

Are you looking for a recipe that won't add dairy? Or are you just avoiding sour cream? Look under the recipe section for the cake mix extender. Not only will you have less to make this way, but your boxed cake gets spruced up in the process.
