Can I cover a cake w/ white fondant then take a piece of black and lay it on the top? I was thinking of doing this for a cake this weekend. I thought I could take a band of an accent color and go around the top edge where the two colors meet.

Absolutely yes. Just remember to roll the black much thinner. icon_smile.gif

Thanks Dianne I will roll it thinner. I am thinking about making a template for the top of the cake after it is covered in white to get my size correct.
