You can also check your local grocery store's brand of shortening and see if it still contains transfat.
I've found that all of my generics are still proud to contain Trans fat So I just stick with the generic or store name, It's cheaper anyway.
Hasn't anybody ever detected a "funny" smell or taste with the generic shortening?? I've tried 4 different store brands that have transfats, but they all have a smell and taste to them where as the Crisco doesn't. Also, I just got some Sweetex from a very nice lady in Montana and it doesn't have a weird smell to it. It's wonderful!!
