I'm just wondering. I have a birthday party cake this weekend for 20 and wondered if I can just make an 8" taller and have it serve 20? I don't have 9 inch pans just yet and was hoping to make it until next month before buying them. What do you all think?

According to Wilton an 8" round (2" layers) WILL yield 24 wedding servings (1x2x4) or 20 party servings (1-1/2x2x4).

(So much easier to use than Wilton's.)
