I encourage anyone who thinks they have what it takes to compete in a televised cake contest to submit their application. It doesn't cost anything to apply and an opportunity like this does not come along often.

If chosen they will cover your travel expenses so don't let that hold you back!

we cannot disclose what network will be carrying the show at this time so please do not ask, but feel free to post here with any general questions and I will do my best to get you answers.

This is your opportunity to get discovered !!!!

I know everyone is asking about this show! The taping is just about over for this season. They had to sign a contract so no one that participated can talk about it. The show is on The Learning Channel (TLC).
It will air starting at the end of August and go through September. There will be 8 shows and they will be on Monday nights. The show is called "Ultimate Cake Off".

How can they say they were accepting all decorators?! Beginners & middle of the road decorators could in no way compete.

That's not exactly what they said:

believe possible?

hey - I know I'm a quite a bit late to this thread.... (I haven't been on CC for awhile...)

I was the lead assistant to one of the leads for this show.

We taped our episode at the end of June.

They're officially announcing the show to local and national press tomorrow (or I guess today - Its after midnight here...)

I have to be very careful about what I say here (confidentiality agreements!)

But I wanted to let you all know that yes, some CC'ers made it onto the show. It's not ALL well-known talent.

I will say this: Taping the show was an ABSOLUTE BLAST! And I already hope they'll have a second season.

That's all I'm saying for now....

Hey! I was one of 3 assisstants to Rebecca Sutterby, who is a good friend and amazing artist. We had a ball.

Not all of the competitors are big names. I can't say too much except it should make for good TV. I hope I don't come accross as a total loon ( which is very possible!)

After it airs I can fill ya'll in on more dish!

CONGRATS!!!! To all those who are going to be on the show. I for one can not wait to see it!

Sharon, Adeana wants to say to you ("she is very excited for you and can not wait to see you on the show!, she been waiting a long time").....grinning from ear to ear with eyes as big as teacups as she is saying this. icon_lol.gif
Are you all aloud to say anything about the show?....like are the cakes judged by other cakers, or do the people vote? Were you given a time frame in which you had to docorate the cake? Was there a theme to your cake?

God Bless,
Sharon
