Hi everyone,

I'm almost done with this cake for my DH's job and as I was coloring the burgundy BC I ran out of burgundy! I really need a maroon, but they were okay with burgundy.

Does anyone know what colors to mix to create a burgundy or maroon? I need to finish this in the next 2 hours...PLEASE HELP!!

Hi tita,

Hopefully I'm not too late. Try red, with a little brown or black. It may be hard to match the burgundy that you used already, but it should blend.

good luck!

I was just going to say the same thing... red with brown or black.

I read a thread on this very thing a while back and it was red and black. Have to say though, I've tried it myself and had the hardest time getting the maroon I was looking for.

I think it turned out "burgundy-ish", I just posted it in my photos. I really don't like doing sheetcakes anymore. I have no idea why.
