Is there any trick to making the extremely lifelike twigs climbing up a wedding cake????? Some of them are very thin and delicate just like real twigs....

I've done some but probably not as thin as you describe. I just rolled gumpaste into snakes..... Other than that, you can always use floral wire wrapped in fondant.... just a thought.
