Hi,

A little friend of mine is turning five, and loves the story of Moby Dick.

Of course, the cake has to be about his favourite!

There would have to be a ship and the whale on the cake, but the proportions could be a problem.

Can anybody help?

Thanks,
Karen

Oh well... I guess this is not a very popular story.

This is what I came up with. The little boy was speechles.

Thanks Ursula. Good to see you here.

I should have looked in the galleries for a whale cake. I kept looking for "Moby Dick" and "Sperm whale" and "Ishmael".

Strangely enough, I posted my cake this morning, and it was on the home page, in "posted today" and just above it, in the "popular cakes posted today" was a very very similar whale cake, which was posted yesterday!

I was hoping to make the ship too, but the proportions would have looked really weird, so I just decided to leave it simple.

Thanks for taking the time to comment!

Hi there,

I recently posted a whale cake I made for a friend who's a fisherman. You can take a look at it (in my pictures) and maybe change the fisherman for a little boat?

Hope this helps.
Good luck,
Laura
