Anyone know where to buy food grade liquid silicone in canada? I would like to make a mold, but am looking at the websites that ship and the shipping just drives up the cost too much.

I am hunting also. Have you tried hobby shops? I don't have any in my area, Van. Isld.

Hi, the model shops I have here are model train, model airplane, model car shops- I wouldn't imagine that they would have it. I tried Wallaks a painting store, but no luck.

When I get time, probably not today, I am going to go online and search. I have a relative in Vancouver, maybe I can find some there. Where are you located in Canada?

Golda's kitchen.com maybe?

I know I saw it advertised somewhere.

I thought Michael's carry some. Not sure if it's food grade though.....have never looked for it, so I'm not sure.

Thank-you ... I tried Micheal's and it is indeed not food grade silicone. I just emailed Golda's kitchen to see if she sells it. Any more ideas. I am at a total loss.
Thanks
Kelly

I'm from Calgary Alberta and I order my supplies from www.cakemischief.com. They sell food grade silicone to make your own molds. Here's the link http://www.cakemischief.com/MAKE_YOUR_OWN_MOLD_SILICONE_PUTTY_p/pc-smp01.htm

Michael's also sells them which you can use your 40% coupon on. Be careful they do sell food grade and non food grade.  It will say it right on the box of its food safe. Last few times I went to Michael's they were always out of stock.

Cake mischief is based out of Edmonton Alberta. So far no complaints with them.  They do charge shipping though but they have good deals when buying in bulk.

Sorry I know your post was in 2009 but hopefully this will still help you and others with where to get food grade silicone.

@Cakesbyjdotn ‍, the food safe brand shown on your link is the same as sold by Michael's in my area (southern USA).  I am planning to give it a try.

bowtie let me know how it goes. I'm trying to buy the commerical kitchen food grade silicone from DAP but I can't find a supplier in Canada. It's cheaper than what I get from cake mischief and Michaels . Do you bake for fun or profession? Love to follow your work if you're on Instagram. Check my work out @cakesbyjdot
