I am speechless! The deer and doe one took a lot of thought and work. Actually, they all did. icon_surprised.gif

Living in the Appalachian Mountains, I can totally see these at a wedding.

They aren't necessarily my style (except maybe the deer one 'cause Im a nature freak) but aren't we forever saying "I wish someone would order something besides the cookie cutter white on white wedding cake." I envy the decorators who got to create these. At least they have personality. icon_biggrin.gif

Also, someone started another thread today asking if anyone knew how the deer/doe one was done as they were going to do it for a friend's wedding. So, if anyone on here knows, maybe you could help her out?

I have a consultation coming up with a bride who wants that 3rd cake this weekend. It's suppose to be a surprise for her fiance.

i love the one with the truck, its like the james bond cake, makes me crack up everytime i see it hahha!! its brilliant idea and i think its fun to have something fun for your cake, instead of tiers white and ruffles, its nice to ave your personalitie in the cake!

I saw those on cake wrecks! What's even funnier ... my aunt asked me a few weeks ago to make a hunting cake for my uncle's b-day!

All I could think of was that post! icon_surprised.gif

i had to make an odd hunting cake a few years ago, thing is the main point of the cake was a bit of a prank between the giver of the cake and the birthday guy- so i ended up getting a G.I. Joe doll - she wanted the hunter to have a rifle leaning against a tree, and the hunter sitting on a log with his pants pulled down reading a news paper.. i was not experienced with fondant at the time so i went with the figurine. she was fine with it. basically since i knew the Joe doll wouldn't stay in place for transport. i simply made the log on top of a cake and gave her the figurine to put in place herself. i don't think i bothered with a pic of this cake lol

I dig 'em.

I think of it as a legitimate way to save money at the wedding by combining the groom's & bride's cake in one creation.

Marriage is that gnarly union of two souls for better or for worse huh, shot gun shells, flowers and all.

I thought ya'll would enjoy these. I will agree that they are a bit refreshing. I personally love the workmanship that went into the 2-deer wedding cake. Wish I was that talented myself.
